Extreme Propaganda Alert: New Nabisco Commercial Shows Two Dads W/Baby, Child, Says "This Is Wholesome"

Do we really have to watch this? Wish it were not so but awareness is imperative. Do you know what your children are seeing on the television while you are busy doing other things that need to be done? They may be undergoing graham cracker enticement into some NWO homosexual indoctrination. Do be aware. fyi

I don't know exactly where to ask this, but what do you know about Alan Hirsch and the missional church movement? Is it part of the New Age Movement or part of the Emergent Church?

The missional (so-called) church movement, and Hirsch, who is probably the chief evangelist for it, would not be considered new-age, and while doctrinally for the most part would fall into the 'emergent' class, the real emphasis is not on 'doctrine' per se. Ultimately the missional movement in nothing more than a repackaged purpose-driven scheme. The goals are the same - mobilizing 'Christians' to serve in society.

It's all jibber-jabber though. They talk about people being "missionaries" in their own communities and neighborhoods by doing good works and serving, etc., essentially without "being preachy". This is what they call "incarnational". You can research that for more info if you want.

Bottom line, exactly like PD, it is communitarianism - designed to build globalized 'sustainable communities', part of which is to also have the different religions working together, all as non-preachy good-deed doers working together for the common good.

Hirsch is one tasked with bringing in the Christian side. The Mormons have been doing the same thing for a few years now, sending 'workers' out to serve wherever needed. Apparently they've been going into Catholic churches too and providing labor for food banks and church bazaars etc., this sort of thing, all without any preaching. Working together side by side for the common good, no divisive religious issues discussed.

They call it missional.

Thank you! That is most helpful. It answers a lot of our questions and concerns. We are quite familiar with Rick Warren, so we can relate to what you shared here. We have had great difficulty finding a congregation of believers in Christ in our area who are not following the Rick Warren model for "doing" church. It is quite disheartening, in fact, as so many in the US have now gone that route.

If you would not mind, could I ask your thoughts on one more teacher? When I just now shared with my husband what you said with regards to the missional movement, he inquired as to your knowledge or thinking with regard to the writer/teacher John Eldredge. Any information you could supply us with would be most beneficial. Thanks!

re: Eldredge

Nothing positive to report, all negative. Eldredge basically redefines God in his writings, essentially which is to deny the Sovereignty of God. This view he pushes has been called "open theism". Open theism is nothing more than a 'christianized' humanism.

In addition, and still just the tip of the iceberg, so to speak, he promotes extra-biblical sources as also valuable for 'revelation of God'...mystic writings, movies, random secular books, etc.

Rather than go into all of that here though, here are a couple of links where these things are brought out. The first one is about ten years old but it is clear that nothing has changed. The second is a list somebody compiled containing numerous quotes from reviews of Eldredge writings - good research material:

Eldredge - open theism: link

Compilation of Eldredge review quotes: link

Final analysis: Eldredge = (dangerous) psuedo christianity

Thank you! Again, that was most helpful. I appreciate you taking the time to respond to my questions. It is a very sad situation the church in America is in right now. We appreciate your insights.
