'Exodus' Ministry Shuts Down, Apologizes To 'Gay Community', Says Opposing Homosexuality Not Biblical

Related to: 'Gospel Coalition' - Piper, Chandler, Keller, Carson, Lutzer - Counsel "Folding" Homosexuals Into Churches 7-11-12 "The so-called Gospel Coalition, led by Piper, Chandler, Keller, Carson, and Lutzer has determined that homosexuals, unrepentant, unregenerate, openly defiant of God's eternal word in refusing to acknowledge their sin, should be "folded into our churches"...This 'decision' reached by the fearless leaders of Global Kristianity 2012, Piper, et. al, definitely represents a new level of encroachment by the homosexual agend-ites toward unquestioning membership in the Christendom sectors of the fast growing Babylonian world religion of today. Exodus International says its anti-gay view was not 'biblical'

Florida-based Exodus International announced it was closing its doors Wednesday night, a day after its President Alan Chambers apologized in a statement to members of the gay community for "years of undue judgment by the organization and the Christian Church as a whole.”

“Exodus is an institution in the conservative Christian world, but we’ve ceased to be a living, breathing organism,” Chambers said in announcing the church’s closure. “For quite some time we’ve been imprisoned in a worldview that’s neither honoring toward our fellow human beings, nor biblical.”

Chambers said in a statement that the organization's directors voted to shut down Exodus after more than 30 years and start a new ministry that would would work with other churches to create "safe, welcoming and mutually transforming communities.”

...a new generation of Christians is looking for change -- and they want to be heard,” Exodus board member Tony Moore said in a statement.

Exodus International, a professed Christian ministry known worldwide with a mission statement to lead people out of the homosexual lifestyle - hence the name "Exodus", shuts down after more than 30 years, apologizes to the homosexual agend-ites, and, deeming themselves fit to override the Word of God [1Cor. 6:9-10], now make an official statement that it is not biblical to call sin what the bible unquestionably calls sin.

Apparently no longer "imprisoned" by such a narrow and limiting "worldview", they are a "new generation of christians", with a new revelation of 'gay christianity', and they "want to be heard". To this end the plan is to build "transformative communities", where male to male (and female to female) sexual immorality is no sin at all, and where, rather than the behavior being condemned, it is to be celebrated. Must of got that from the homosexualized Queen James Bible.

The real bible though has a very simple answer to the question of homosexuality: No!

Compare: SCOTUS Ruling On Homosexual Psuedo-Marriage May be Announced Any Day Now 6-13-13 "Realistically speaking, at this point, the 'gay' battle is over. The homosexuals have stormed the castle and taken over. They have the courts...they have the White House, they have the military, they have Hollywood, which goes without saying, they have professional sports, they have the Boy Scouts, they have the educational institutions, and they've now even got the doors wedged in all the churches..." Still in a church? You can be certain that this issue will be banging on the door before too much longer, if not already in. The Word of God says no, what about you? Rev. 18:4

This was the goal the whole time. To get churches to shut up about homosexual sin. They've already made headway in Europe and South America. Good linking to your article on the "gospel coalition", which is a coalition that doesn't care about the true Gospel at all, but they're a bunch of compromised calvinists, and about calvinism, read: catholic-lite.

And speaking of catholicism, catholicism openly persecutes Bible believers in Europe and South America. They don't do it in the USA, yet. Just like, gays forced into churches happens in other places, but not in the USA, yet. That's the point of the dialectic. Exodus makes the "exodus" into gay churches, so we're all "bigots" for not doing the same.
