More Virginia Quake 'As Above So Below'? Pat Robertson Doing 700 Club Special On 'End Times' At Moment Of 'Quake'

Virginia Earthquake a Sign of the End Times? Public Looks to Pat Robertson

Is it a coincidence that an earthquake that struck Virginia and rattled dozens of other states occurred amid Pat Robertson's "Sign of the Times" special on the "700 Club?"

"Are we in the last days?" Robertson asked during Wednesday morning's live online streaming of the "700 Club" as he continued his teaching on the "Sign of the Times."

"The earth moved," Robertson said ominously, describing the earthquake that struck Virginia Tuesday, "and then it moved all over this part of the country."

Robertson explained in Wednesday's program, which focused on natural disasters, that earthquakes are one of the "birth pangs" Jesus Christ refers to in Matthew 24 after his disciples ask about the signs preceding his second coming.

Earthquake activity was one of the signs of the end, Robertson said, referring to other occurrences such as food shortages and conflicts between nations, which Christians believe will precede Christ's return.

re: "a coincidence?"

In asking "is it a coincidence", the author of the above article is leading readers to what he no doubt feels is the obvious conclusion that this is probably not a "coincidence" and must be an actual sign from God himself. While we must agree that the likelihood of this being a coincidence is beyond probability, we are unable to assign the cause to an 'act of God'. Even more so in this case being that Robertson is the 'preacher' in question.

In way of explanation here is something that was posted more than three years ago: More Pat Robertson Propaganda 7-23-08 "It may be a bit complicated, but so-called Christian dominionism is really nothing more than a Zionist deception, created by the 'Zionists' in fact...designed to bring the Christian church under the 'umbrella' of the coming 'kingdom'. Pat Robertson of the 700 club has long been reading the script and espousing the false doctrine of the 'kingdom'."

What better way to delude the blinded Laodicean church of the present day into submitting to the ever encroaching globalism than to convince them that the manipulated 'current events' they are witnessing, as described by Robertson, i.e. quakes, food shortages, and conflicts between nations, are the true Matthew 24 signs of the "last days", so that when the Zionist antichrist appears on the scene [see: Rev. 6:2] they will submit to him thinking that he is the True Christ. see: "he that believeth...shall not make haste"

Fake "birth pangs"? Believe it or not, that is exactly what is happening. Precisely according to the script, even engineered quakes perhaps. You think?

For the record...the prophetic events described in Matthew 24 cannot occur until after the bride of Christ has been removed from the scene; aka 'the rapture'. In other words, none of the things happening today can possibly be Matthew 24 events. Matthew 24 describes the 7-yr period known as "the tribulation". see: Olivet discourse and Christians (Matt 24-25) ; A.C. Gaebelein [1910]

Do not be deceived.

dAnd when the rapture never comes and believers start to go through those trials many of them will fall away from their faith. Great job on playing the other role of the deception. Christians were never promised that they would not go through tribulation. They were promised that the SHALL go through tribulation.

to anon,

Yes, Christians are promised to go through trials and tribulations in this life, but that is not the same thing as the "great tribulation" (Matt. 24:21), aka that "hour of temptation, which shall come upon all the world, to try them that dwell upon the earth" (Rev. 3:10).

This 'hour of trial' is aka both the 'wrath of the Lamb' (Rev. 6:16), AND 'the wrath of God' (Rev. 16:1).

The apostate professing church will definitely go through this time of wrath though - that includes many who think that they will be raptured because they raised their hand one day, but are not actually regenerate. The reality is that they already are fallen away, but do not know it.

They are the foolish virgins of Matthew 25 - they have the appearance of Christians - but they are not. Their unregenerate 'lamps of profession', powered only by fleshly energy, have burned out and they will find the door shut (Matt. 25:8) when the bridegroom comes for his bride to take her to his Father's house. (John 14:1-3)

A real christian, one who truly is regenerate, will not be subjected to that "hour of temptation, which shall come upon all the world, to try them that dwell upon the earth"

...because, and it is very simple, the Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ already took their judgment upon himself at Calvary, shedding his blood as propitiation for their sin.

The wrath of God was poured out upon him on the cross of Calvary.

For that reason, and that reason alone, the truly regenerate Christian, the 'wise virgins' of Matt. 25, will never face the wrath of God.

1Thes. 5:9 "For God hath not appointed us to wrath, but to obtain salvation by our Lord Jesus Christ"

The bible teaches the rapture. Believe it or not.
